Location Availability determines when a location can be booked for an event. When a Location is initially created, the user decides whether or not the location is usually open for event booking or closed. For example, a restaurant on a ship would probably be set up as normally closed to group events, while a conference room would normally be open.
Standard Location Availability templates are created to determine exactly when a Location is normally available for booking. These templates can be linked to specific cruise itineraries so that once a start date and itinerary are selected, the availability for all locations onboard that ship will automatically be set. Included with these templates are standard events such as the scheduling of a custom’s inspection location or recurring onboard activities that are automatically copied to the appropriate date and time when the template is applied.
Override Availability can then be applied against the Standard Availability to open or close a location on a specific date, time and duration.
